The Cauliflower Alley Club would like to extend its' sincerest congratulations to lifetime member Arda Ocal on his new multi-year deal with ESPN. Arda, a former WWE announcer using the name Kyle Edwards, has long been a huge fan of professional wrestling and actually, promoted, ring-announced, created and hosted several Canadian wrestling television shows on The Score and SportsNet television networks.
Arda started as a ring announcer in 2006 in the Ontario independent pro wrestling scene and went on to help organize events across the country, including the Canadian Arctic of Iqaluit, Nunavut, where wrestling had never been presented. Arda has called pro wrestling for many different promotions including Dragon Gate USA and Evolve.
In addition to his early wrestling work, Arda has been behind the television microphone for such diverse activities as hockey, boxing, MMA, soccer, table tennis and weather reports on Canada's television Weather Network. He's also hosted the CAC's Baloney Blowout (now called the Bockwinkel Blowout) in 2013.
Starting with ESPN in 2016, Arda just recently inked a multi-year contract extension with the network where he continues to serve as the networks SportsCenter anchor and National Hockey League host. As if that wasn't enough, Arda will be kept busy by also hosting ESPN's The Point and The Drop Podcast as well as the entertainment and sports programming networks International and Digital shows, SportsNet Australia, UFC Fight Camp, NFL Blitz, Inside the Rink and SportsCenter Snapchat.
The CAC salutes and congratulates Arda on his broadcast accomplishments and milestones and wishes him and his family continued health and prosperity in the coming years.
