Al Burke to Receive 2023 REEL Award at Vegas Reunion

The CAC extends it's sincerest congratulations to CAC Lifetime member Al Burke upon being named the recipient of the club's 2023 REEL Award.

The REEL AWARD is a special award presented to a television or movie performer with a wrestling interest and screen stars such as Dan Haggerty ("Grizzly" Adams), Marion Ross (of "Happy Days" fame) and wrestlers Howard"Pepper" Martin, Roddy Piper, "Magnificent" Mimi Lesseos, "Woody" Strode and Terry Funk have been among those honored with this award at the banquet podium.

As part of the Cauliflower Alley Club's 2023 two night awards dinners, actor, wrestler, stuntman and the 2012 Jason Sanderson Award Winner, Al Burke will take to the podium to accept this award, which was last presented at our reunion in 2016.

Al, perhaps best known for his role as a large Billy Idol fan in the movie, The Wedding Singer, has, to date, 235 acting and 58 stunt credits, cited on the Internet Movie Database website. These numbers put him right behind "Judo" Gene LeBell as being the REEL award honoree with the most acting and stunt credits listed on that website. 

Over and above the IMDB credits however, Al has compiled a resume that includes over 300 movies, over 700 music videos and close to 100 television commercials as well! His movie roles have included being "Punchy" the Hobo Clown in the Killjoy horror/slasher movies. In addition, Al's music video credits include Country Music Television music video of the year, Toby Keith's "Good as I Once Was" as well as two videos for rapper Eninem, "Without Me" and the Grammy Award winning, "Ass Like That".
