"Help! I've Got Family in the Pro-Wrestling Business. How Did I Ever Survive?" A panel to explore the extraordinary lives of individuals who have experienced the unique challenges and triumphs that come with being part of a family immersed in the captivating world of professional wrestling.
In this thought-provoking session, host Jim Valley will have the honor of hosting some remarkable panelists, each with their own compelling stories to share. Firstly, we have Barbara Goodish, the esteemed widow of the iconic wrestling madman, Bruiser Brody. Her firsthand perspective provides a profound insight into the trials and tribulations faced by families deeply entrenched in the wrestling industry and, you just may find out that, underneath all of the hoopla and the hype "King Kong" Brody might not have been such a Bruiser after all.
Joining Barbara will be Pamela Morrison, daughter of the infamous James J. Dillon. Pamela's upbringing provided her with a front-row seat to witness the inner workings of this electrifying sport, as she navigated the complexities of family life, travelling with her dad and being intertwined with her father's wrestling persona.
Also confirmed for our panel is Paige "Von Hess" Sutherland, daughter of the notorious German heel, Kurt Von Hess. Growing up with a father known for his villainous character, Paige's experiences offer a unique glimpse into the dynamics of a family grappling with the larger-than-life personalities that captivate wrestling fans worldwide.
Invites have also been sent out to CAC members Mike McGuirk, daughter of famed wrestler/ Oklahoma's Tri-State Wrestling territory promoter Leroy McGuirk, and Chaz Taylor, son of wrestler Tugboat Taylor, but as of deadline the participation of Mike and Chazz have not been confirmed.
Throughout the seminar, our esteemed panelists will recount their personal accounts, sharing the joys, struggles, and unforgettable moments that have shaped their lives. From the exhilaration of watching their loved ones perform in packed arenas to the challenges of maintaining a sense of normalcy amidst the often chaotic and unpredictable wrestling lifestyle, their narratives will undoubtedly resonate with anyone who has ever felt the weight of being part of a wrestling dynasty.
Prepare to be captivated by tales of resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering love, as our panelists shed light on the intricate dance between personal and public life in the pro-wrestling business. Whether you're a die-hard wrestling fan, a curious bystander, or simply someone intrigued by the remarkable human stories that unfold behind the glittering spectacle, this seminar promises to be an eye-opening and heartwarming journey.
